I have more than ten years’ experience in the management of parking in local government environment. I have been involved in the development of parking strategy and have led the subsequent roll out throughout the Auckland region.

Parking plays an important role in the urban landscape and support of economic activity. Effective parking management can significantly influence transport mode choices. Parking is now widely used to achieve strategic outcomes from an urban planning perspective.

The commercial opportunities it offers has created a multi-billion-dollar industry worldwide which attracts huge investment into innovation and development. The present and future of parking is exciting, and I feel thrilled to be part of it.

I bring my passion and experience to NZPA Executive Committee and intend to use it to lobby for improvement in parking regulations, management and perception.
